It was a beautiful day and somebody decided to change some unused area into a nice park, basic but nice. Nothing fancy just some areas with grass, some flowers. Also loads of picnic tables where placed scattered around the whole area.

Access to the area was free and soon people started to enter it any time of day, and night. People looked for a free spot at a table and started or joined into a conversation. If they didn’t like it they walked away, moved to another table. If they wanted a more private talk they walked away together. Soon some tables became famous for discussions about certain subjects. Sports, Arts, Music, anything you can imagine. It seemed some people even brought their own tables and placed signpost to them.

There where also many who had heard about this new park but never go there. They preferred to communicate in a more traditional way, via letters, fax, e-mail and phone. They spoke about this new area with a negative undertone as in “we don’t need new”. They found those table talks to open and they couldn’t image how people could talk to others they hardly knew.

Every day the area became busier and it was always filled with the sounds of thousands of people communicating. They named it Twitterpark.
